DIGGORY, Cedric Fennimore
"I can't stand to fly; I'm not that naive. I'm just out to find the better part of me. I'm more than a bird, I'm more than a plane. I'm more than a pretty face beside a train. It's not easy to be me."

Character Name: Cedric Diggory
Nickname(s): Ced, Cedric, Golden Boy
Sex: Male
Age: Sixteen
Birthdate: October 3lst, 1977
House: Hufflepuff (FIND!!)
Blood Type: Pure-Blood
Occupation: N/A
Appearance: A tall lad, especially for his age group, Cedric has always been a supremely admired lad. Regarding his physical appearance, he suits the stereotype of 'strong and silent' almost too well. His form is quite lanky, but built with a lean muscle, considering his expansive 6 feet and 3 inches of height. He towers over most of his peers easily, striding gracefully and impressing young women with his sharp physical features. His strength is perfect for, perhaps climbing a tree or competing in challenges.
As for his facial features, they are as, if not more impressive than his stature. He has an extreme strong jawline, which although always shaven for class, usually has a scatter of stubble in the late evenings. He has been called 'severely' good looking by many, with dark irises and an array of messed locks which he often attempts to comb in place but fails, repeatedly. At moments, his dark oak locks with have a reddish tone but often they are dark, suiting the yellow of his hufflepuff robes.
Play-By: Robert Pattinson
Likes: quidditch, bread pudding, cotton, hanging out with his mates, making his father proud, being well-liked, grinning, laughing, lazy days, string music, orchestra, charms, care of magical creatures, hippogriffs, pigmy-puffs, dragons, winning, girls, wild conversations that make little sense, jesting, pranks, (though he would never pull them himself), setting a good example, kids, looking after others, attempting to be diplomatic, solving issues, critical thinking, muggle arithmetic and word puzzles, such as crosswords, classes, horses, animals, the outdoors, hiking, any sort of sport, new models of brooms, being argue a little
Dislikes: his own rational thinking, Harry Potter (though he would never show it), when he doesn't control his anger, his own need for calm, his need for control, the pressure from his father, unnecessary drama, yelling, screaming, occasional nonchalant behavior, jello, polo (it hurts the horses, doesn't it?),
Strengths: a strong leader, capable of handling the most basic and complex of problems, critical thinking, athletic and more than capable of defense, his strong morals, tolerance, the ability to see shades of grey in every situation, entirely confident on the surface, good at dispensing advice to others
Weaknesses: he secretly chain smokes, he refuses to anger, causing others to think he is snobby or stand-offish, he often gives too much of himself to his father, ignoring any other's needs, he is deeply competitive to the point of endangerment, he is entirely insecure beneath the surface, he cannot figure out what to do with his own life.
Pet Peeves: people who bite their nails, his hair, people who drink too much, being out of control, drinking too much himself, the smell of smoke,
Mirror of erised:
To please his father
To work with animals in the future, or perhaps play professional quidditch
To please himself, for once
Fears: dead skin, falling off of his broom (which never really happens), heights (again, nothing he would ever admit.)
Boggart: Death, in general. Even thinking too strongly about the subject causes him discourse and disturbance. He fears the unknown very deeply and ponders as to what exactly happens after death. It truly throws him off to talk of it.
Dementor: The first instance Cedric realized that life in his home was revolved around winning:
As young boy, he practiced broom riding religiously, as dictated by his father. However, when a neighborhood boy beat him in a friendly race to the front door, Amos was less than pleased. He told his son that the neighbor could never be 'superior' to him in any manner possible. That his potential was too great to merely waste on 'fun and games.' He had the ability to excel and if he did not, then Amos was certain that Cedric was not his son.
The guilt clung to his chest as his father clamped his arm tightly, applying pressure.
He is still applying pressure.
Patronus:
His patronus is a stallion; thoroughbred racehorse.
Cedric enjoys
Amortentia: smell of muggle gasoline, baking bread, cool cobblestone, dirt, chocolate frogs
Relationship status: currently seeing Cho Chang; though he has a strong suspicion that she is indifferent
Turn ons: red lipstick on women, confidence, being taken seriously, summer heat, an unzipped dress, the smell of smoke
Turn offs: sloppiness, laziness, too much drinking, the smell of alcohol
Personality: To many, Cedric is a simple, straight laced lad with his head on correctly and his priorities in order. And on most accounts, what they have assumed is true. Cedric is a deeply driven young man who always manages his affairs properly and systematically, logically. He is deeply efficient, refusing to allow anyone to take responsibility for his own actions, negative or positive. Surprisingly, he is this way with little training. Cedric has always had the natural inclination of responsibility and priority. To him, it has been instilled since birth to remain impressively confident and certain in control of all situations.
However, to most who know the boy very closely, they could reveal a deeply intimate side of him; his closest friends proclaim him to be deeply compassionate or kind; if not 'goofy' when it involves jokes or wit. He enjoys silly or outlandish jokes and never fails to laugh at humor that others fail too, even if out of sheer politeness. He is a boy known for loving to laugh at anything, but also as a brave and true friend. Many wonder as to why he is not in Gryffindor but only Cedric knows this answer all too well.
The boy that constantly gives himself, believes himself to be a coward. If he has a selfish or cruel thought, he is prone to burying it immediately, refusing to acknowledge it even occured in his brain wave. He doesn't like to admit to his or any sort of weakness. Hence why he ventures, after hours to the prefects' restroom to chain smoke out a cracked window, or how he cannot admit that he doesn't really care for Harry Potter, due to jealousy. He has never been honest with his own feelings and he hates it.
Cedric also does not respond to criticism well, and can had an almost child like temper. He refuses to acknowledge any fault so when others point them out, he does not react well.

Overall history: It is still a mystery as to why Helen chose Amos. Both were vastly different in physical stature, even mind set. While Amos remained a short bumbling man, even in his early twenties, Helen was a tall, leggy beauty, intensely athletic and known for her sharp wit. However, if one were to ask Helen as to what she saw in Amos, it would be a fierce loyalty, an intense kindness and overwhelming amount of ambition. They were married in six short months; and only three months post this marriage, she was pregnant with an abnormally large boy in her womb. She was never happier, practically glowing, not gaining a single pound of additional weight, though Amos gained six pounds of sympathy weight.
Cedric Fennimore, named from his mothers' side, was born weighing twelve pounds and measuring thirteen inches, a massive baby.
Cedric, proved immediately, not only be named from his mothers' side but to take most of his genetics from that side as well. He was excruciatingly beautiful child, so much so that vendors gave him trinkets and bakeries passed him pastries. He had a strong stature, built very different from his short, immensely large father, who since his birth doted on his son, even worshipped him. Helen, at first, found this charming, yet Amos' attention dwindled from herself more and more as Cedric grew. This began to strain her patience.
As soon as Cedric could walk, he was flying a broom. As soon as Cedric could read, he was attempting mathematics. None of this was by choice, but by simple suggestion from his father and the boy, dying to please him, agreed to anything.
The young lad grew up happily until his Hogwarts letter. The only thing this letter did for Cedric was introduce more competition, something he dreaded. He even considered asking his mother for home schooling. Though he was excited at the prospect of meeting friends, he did not like the gleam in his fathers' eyes.
Since day one of Hogwarts, Cedric has been stealing girls, winning quidditch games, losing quidditch games, remaining a strong, good friend to many and attempting to please his father. There are only so many ways a boy can stretch.
