Quoting A Post
Someone's posted something and you want to quote it so it appears like this ~
Hello there Newbie and welcome to Hogwarts: Thru The Years. If you haven't done so already, I would read the Rules & Inforthread. If you have, why not introduce yourself here? Tell us your name, where your from, who you are hoping to play character wise and any other facts about yourself. We always love to see new faces on here and welcome you with open arms, or wings in my case.
To do this, above each post is a quote button, just click this and the post will appear in a 'Post Message' with the quote code in.......
in other words it will take you to the reply box with some techo letters and numbers which is the quote.
And if your a clever bee like me, you'll know what all that techo code is.

Bookmark Threads
Bookmarking a thread means that whenever someone replies to the selected thread, you will either get a PM or email telling you.
Very handy little thing, use it myself alot as I'm too busy to check all the threads.
Now, to bookmark a thread, you can do two things.
One ~ When viewing a thread, at the top, above the name of the thread, is a button called 'Bookmark' Once clicked, the page with refresh itself and the button changes to ''remove bookmark'' So whenever you want to remove it, you simply click this again.
Two ~ When replying the a thread, below the text box is the following option ~ Check this box if you wish to bookmark this thread. In doing so will create the bookmark, to remove either untick it next time you reply or follow the steps in the first way of bookmarking threads.
Now that you have bookmarked the threads, you can change it to how you want to be told when someone has replied. To do this, go to your profile. Next to the 'Modify Profile' button, is the 'Bookmarks' button, click this.
You should see a list of all the bookmarked threads. above the ''last post'' infor area, is the button ''manage bookmarks'' click this.
Now, you can chose a different notification for each thread if you wish, or, by default, do it so every thread either sends you a PM or email.

Create a Poll
So you want to create a poll, but don't know how? You have come to the right place my friend!
Creating a poll is simple and easy, go to the board/area of where you want the poll to be...
So, for example, if it's a poll on your favourite chocolate bar this will go in the General Common Room as it's nothing to do with RP.
Go to the General Common Room , if you look to where you usually click to ''create new thread'' , next to this is the button ''new poll'' clicking this will open up a message box area like when you create new threads or are replying to a post.
You have the Subject: which is the name of the thread Poll Question: what you want to ask, eg, fave chocolate bar then the answer box areas, you get 1-8 answers , but there is a link under the answer 8 box ''Click to display more answer fields.'' if you wish to have more then 8 answers.
Once you have filled all the that in, you can type up ur message and click post message!
NOTE: Unfortunatly, polls can not be edited! so make sure u have all the answers, question and spellings correct. They also can't be created in every board on this forum.

Help! I can't PM Someone
Are you PMing someone but they aren't getting your messages?
When you PM someone, do you put in the username of the person?
For example, my/Mr. Bee's username is admin, so sending a PM to Mr Bee, won't get to me. (Mr Bee, is my display name not my username)
To make sure you PM them/find out their username, click on the PM button in their profile.
