WEASLEY, GINEVRA MOLLY
"The thing about growing up with Fred and George is that you sort of start thinking anything's possible if you've got enough nerve."
Your name/alias: Andrea/ACE
Age: 23, almost 24
Experience roleplaying: 10 years?
Other characters: none
How did you find us: EMZ!!!!!! You evil temptress!
Character Name: Ginevra Molly Weasley
Nickname(s): Ginny
Sex: Female
Age: 12, almost 13
Birthdate: August 11, 1981
House: Gryffindor
Blood Type: Pure-Blood
Occupation: student
Appearance: Bright, clear blue eyes, flaming red hair, and matching freckles. Ginny Weasley embodies the trademark Weasley appearance. There is no way to mistake her in a crowd with that bright red flowing mane of hair that she usually keeps down to just past her shoulders. She is definitely on the smaller size in terms of height, inheriting her family’s short tendencies, unlike her brother Ron. She has a bright smile and sometimes blushes to the point where her face matches the color of her hair.
Out side of typical school uniform, Ginny tends to dress like most teenagers in some pants and t-shirt ensemble. Sometimes she likes to wear skirts and sweaters if she can find them. Her wardrobe is limited to the fact that she has to rely on what her parents can afford. In Ginny’s case, she is just grateful that she does not have to rely on her brother’s hand-me-downs. Although, almost her entire wardrobe is second-hand pieces, but that lends her to a taste for vintage style later in life.
Play-By: Bonnie Wright
Likes: Quidditch, hanging out with friends and having fun, mimicking others, Harry Potter, reading, pigmy-puffs, poetry (though she’s not that good), her family - especially her brothers, sneaking around her brothers to do things that they don’t normally let her do like flying on their brooms, her good/best friend Hermione Granger, the Holyhead Harpies, animals, the Weird Sisters
Dislikes: Slytherins, when her older brothers pick on her, being constantly overprotected by her mother, how everyone treats her like a little kid, crying, hipocrytes
Strengths: determination, self-confidence, flying, more powerful than she looks, optimism, quick thinking, can lie easily, opinionated
Weaknesses: can be overly shy and nervous at times, especially around Harry, has that Weasley temper that can sometimes make her extremely unkind and harsh, can lie easily
Pet Peeves: annoying stupid people, her brothers leaving her out of things, annoying tapping while she is studying unless she is doing it, people not letting her do things for herself
Mirror of Erised: to prove herself to her big brothers, to capture Harry’s attention, to graduate from Hogwarts and perhaps tryout for the Holyhead Harpies, to have a family of her own, but maybe not as many children
Fears: to be possessed again, to not be understood by those around her, to be overlooked
Boggart: losing her family and friends around her while she is powerless to stop it, to see those she really cares for leave her behind permanently
Dementor: In her first year she was possessed by Tom Riddle through his diary which Harry destroyed with a Basilisk Fang. Though she does not remember much of what she did while possessed, she had ideas of what she did do through different hints littered around the castle. To this day, the whole thing still scares her, but she does not show it and has gotten a little better at living with the memory, though she is sure she will never forget it.
Patronus: A horse (will learn in the future) spending time with her brothers in Gryffindor after she had gotten sorted into the house
Amortentia: cookies, not too frilly perfume, hot tea, clean rain
Relationship status: single
Turn ons: bravery, nobility, honesty, a sense of humor
Turn offs: stupidity, moodiness, overly self-righteous, evil
Personality: Overall, Ginny is a pretty self-confident and optimistic girl, especially for being almost thirteen. She can be very snarky and opinionated, especially when around her brothers. She loves to laugh and have fun, and has lots of fun mimicking others for her own amusement and the amusement of her friends. Though normally overlooked by her older siblings, she is very smart and extremely powerful and has a lot of fun surprising those around her. Though she can sometimes be considered fairly harsh, there are more times than not where she is very kind and caring, often tending to or comforting others.
Since around the time she was ten years old, she started developing a huge crush on Harry Potter after only meeting him once. Whenever she is around him she becomes very tongue-tied and silent, and vehemently blushes the color of her bright, flaming red hair. She desperately wishes she could get his attention, but she is glad that he is nice to her, though that sends her into another spell of silence filled with lots of blushing.
She’s much more out there and daring than anyone in her family believes. Ginny is extremely loyal and hates to be left behind in anything. Even with her strong loyal ties, she will fight for what she believes is right and will argue with those who she thinks is wrong, doesn’t matter who she is talking to.

Overall history: Ginevra “Ginny” Weasley was the first girl born into the Weasley family for several generations. She is the youngest of seven children and thankfully has her own room since she is the only girl with six brothers. Growing up in the Burrow was an interesting affair in the fact that though her brothers were protective of her, they did pick on her, though not as much as her older brother, Ron. A lot of the time, her brothers leave her out of the different games that they play so she either spends time with her mother or entertains herself. Her mother has been and always will be overly protective her since she is the youngest and only girl. It is always a part of her life that she still struggles with, especially now that she is about to become a teenager. When no one is really watching her, one of her favorite things to do is to sneak out from the house and break into the shed that hold her brothers’ flying brooms so she can take them out. She’s actually getting pretty good at flying since she has been sneaking out since she was six years old.
Her first year at Hogwarts landed her in a lot more hot water than she intended thanks to a little diary that she discovered among her textbooks after arriving back home from Diagon Alley that year. That one little book that she poured her heart and soul into almost ended up killing her. It turned out to be a magical diary that once belonged to Voldemort, but mysteriously ended up in her possession. As the year went by, she ended up becoming possessed by the soul of the book, or well the soul of Voldemort, who manipulated her into opening the Chamber of Secrets several times. The basilisk that then roamed the castle freely petrified many victims, but did not successfully kill anyone. After her entranced form entered the Chamber of Secrets and was trapped there by Tom Riddle, she was luckily rescued by Harry Potter and her brother, Ron.
Luckily, her second year was a lot more normal for a Hogwarts student. She managed to get through her classes more easily and pass with very good grades, though no where near as good as Hermione. After stepping away from her lonesome corner, Ginny has made many friends in her house and class year. She still has a horrible crush on Harry Potter, which really developed only after meeting him for a few minutes at King’s Cross Station on Platform 9 3/4. To this day, she still becomes horribly shy whenever around him.
Roleplay sample:Melissa had woken up that morning to actually get some studying done. She had refused to partake in any form of homework on a Friday night. It wasn't really her style anyway. Frankly she would hold it off until Saturday, but Professors Slughorn and Wenlock had both assigned long essays. She was more worried about the Potions assignment than the History of Magic homework. Of course she was more worried about Potions than any other class. It was her worst class, followed closely behind by History of Magic. Why couldn't either one of the Fayes assign homework? That would have been something she could do easily.
Just like most days, Melissa threw on her favorite pair of jeans, a long sleeve black shirt, and her red Converse shoes. She tied her hair up in a pony tail before picking up her bag and wand. It was a longer trudge down the stairs to the library than she wanted it to be. It would be far better to get this over with, so why was the walk so long?
She finally made it into the library which was surprisingly filled with other students hard at work studying. Or she was merely surprised because she was not used to being up this early in the morning to study. Exercising and training, yes, but not studying. If only Lily could see her now, but her best friend had already disappeared doing some Prefect thing or other. She re-situated the strap from her red messenger bag on her shoulder. Melissa sighed heavily before continuing on to the aisles that she needed books from. As she pulled books off the shelf and continued to add to the pile in her arms that almost reached the top of her head, she reached for the last title she needed and noticed it was not on the shelf. Melissa huffed in annoyance. She walked away with her tall pile and dropped the books with a loud thud on the nearest desk. Her bag then fell off her shoulder into the chair next to her.
"Hey Melissa. Got some studying to do as well I see." Melissa did not even know that the table was taken already. Well, she wasn't really in the mood to pick up and move. "Dan. Hey," she said in response. Melissa began taking her parchment, ink and quill out of her bag. Setting the items haphazardly on the table. The ink bottle almost tipped over, but she managed to save it at the last second. "Yeah, Potions and History of Magic." Melissa pushed her bag off the seat and dropped herself onto the wooden chair. "My two worst classes," she continued as she looked through her stack. "I found almost every book I need save one."
That was when she noticed that Dan had a stack of her own. She tilted her head to see the titles and saw that he had the one book she still needed. "And that is because you've already grabbed it. You little rascal," she said in her thick Southern accent. It was coming through more than normal because she was still tired from staying up late the night before. Melissa rubber her eyes before smiling at Dan who sat across from her. "Anyway I can talk you into sharing?"
Approved!
