Appearance: Ron is known for being tall and gangly with bright red hair and blue eyes. Along with such bold features, his strong body is also adorned with big hands and feet. All these things seem to run in the family, even the more feminine ones are seen in Ginny.

His chest is broad, shoulders thick-- appearing more physically matured than he actually is in years. That being said, he has changed a lot in the past few years, letting his orange hair grow a bit past his ears and stock up on muscle to get rid of his boyish form.

Personality: Insensitive and immature are two words to describe him. Ron isn't all bad though; the story of his life is one of being overshadowed by his family and friends. This has caused him to be bitter and sarcastic in many situations, or simply joking all the time to hide his jealousy. When it comes down to it, it's Ron’s heart and humor that have built up his friendships and given those around him the support they needed to carry through. Ron has a way of keeping things lighthearted, although he often doesn't notice when he's hurting someone's feelings. He has a tendency to be wrong when he is serious and right when he's joking.

Overall history: Ronald was sixth born out of seven children in the Weasley family, and the last boy. He grew up with his loving and protective parents in the Burrow, along with his many siblings-- Bill, Charlie, Percy, Fred, George, and Ginny. Ron tends to protect Ginny, a lot when it comes to dating or pretty much anything. He even gets a bit irked when Harry, his best friend, gives his sister an interested look or two. Bill is the oldest, which Ron looked up to. He had learned from Fred and George well, which is why he likes to be a bit mischievous at times, but also paranoid by their many pranks. His parents, Molly and Arthur were a pretty 'meant to be' couple. It all happened in their 4th year when they first met. Molly had dropped her quill, while in Transfiguration, and Arthur had been sitting next to her. They both bent down to pick it up and they brushed hands. Molly blushed and thanked him before going back to writing. Arthur's ears turned red, the unmistakable Weasley blush that everyone in the Weasley family has inherited. Ron also seemed to have inherited the dream of romance, despite how he's hardly ever come in contact with it.

His first year at Hogwarts was definitely one to remember. 1991, on the Hogwards Express was where he met Harry Potter. Ron was jealous of Harry's fame and money and Harry was jealous of Ron's family and knowledge of the wizarding world. Shortly after, he also met Hermione Granger, who he's been forever interested in but only shows it through constant bickering. During this year, Ron plays a vital part in the quest to save the Philosopher's Stone. He sacrificed himself in a life-sized game of Wizard's Chess, knocking him unconscious while the others continued on. He revives and is awarded fifty House points to Gryffindor for "the best-played game of chess Hogwarts has seen in many years."

His second year was interesting as well when the trio tries to discover more information about the mysterious Chamber of Secrets. Later, Ron is forced to come face-to-face with his biggest fear-- spiders, when him and Harry venture into the Forbidden Forest. Giant spiders nearly eat the two of them, but the Weasley family car rescues them. Ron and Harry then discover the entrance into the Chamber of Secrets, and enter it in the hopes of saving Ginny Weasley, Ron's sister, who had been kidnapped and kept in the Chamber. Ron and Harry are given Special Awards for Services to the School.

As his third year came along, Ron is involved when he chases Scabbers to the Whomping Willow where he is grabbed by a large black dog and dragged into a tunnel hidden below the tree. Harry and Hermione follow the tunnel, which leads to the Shrieking Shack. The dog is actually the animal form of Sirius Black, an escapee from Azkiban and Harry's Godfather. Through a series of events, they discover that Scabbers is actually Peter Pettigrew, a servant of Voldemort, and Sirius Black is on the good side.

Fourth year marks the Triwizard Tournament, where Harry is somehow cheated into the tournament. Ron is upset with Harry over this and they don't make up for over a month, but econcile shortly after Harry successfully gets by a fire-breathing dragon in the first task. At Christmas time, Hogwarts hosts a Yule Ball. Ron and Harry panic and procrastinate at finding dates until Hermione evades Ron's last minute invitation by going with Victor Krum. Harry saves the day by getting Parvati Patil and her sister Padma to agree to come with the duo.
